Ariana broke free of the line of students waiting to get their lunch, carrying her bag of chips and wrapped sandwhich toward the doors leading outside. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure Kunst was following her, and then headed out onto the large area of grass where most of the other students were already eating and enjoying the sunshine. Ariana lead the way over to a vacant picnic table and sat down, digging in her bag for her water bottle and adding it to the food in front of her before beginning to eat.

A boy walked up behind Ariana, his stride casual and comfortable. The wolf-boy seemed completely at ease here, and gently tapped the ballerina on the shoulder. She glanced up fro, her lunch and smiled. "Hey, Dev! What's up?" Ariana said, and Devin smiled, holding up a CD with something scribbled with Sharpie on the front. "I finished your new mix, thought you might like to hear it, see if it works for your audition peice," he replied, and Ariana grinned. "That's great! Can I listen right now?" Devin nodded, and popped the CD into his Walkman, who was attatched to his belt. He held out the earphones and handed the CD player to Ariana, who held an earphone to her ear and pushed the play button. The girl closed her eyes to listen, swaying gently in her seat. After a few moments she rose from the bench and began to move around on the grass, marking out the choreography for the dance peice that would fit the music. It was a mix of classical orchestra music and a bit of hiphop, and together it created an awesome blend that was perfect for an alternitive dance peice. Finally Ariana slowed and walked back to Devin, handing over the Walkman. "I love it!" she declared, and he grinned, handing her the CD case with her copy in it. "I'm glad you do," he replied.

Following close behind Devin was another figure. She approached the table shortly after Ariana had finished her experimental dance, clutching a sketchpad in one arm and carrying a shoulder bag in another. "Hey guys," Rayne greeted cheerily, setting her bag and sketchbook down in an empty space on the picnic table bench before stretching her arms out in a standing position. Today, red sweatpants that bunched back together around her ankles and a white tank top served as her selection of clothing. Her dark brown hair framed her face whilst gray eyes showed obvious signs of her being content. "Mind if I join you?"

Ariana smiled cheerfully as she turned toward Rayne. "Be our guest!" she replied, sweeping down into a half-bow before straightening up again and returning to the table, still grinning. "Hey Rayne, want to listen to this new mix Devin just came up with for me? It's really awesome- I think I'm going to use it for my audition piece this spring. Can she, Dev?" Ariana glanced back up at the wolf-boy, and he nodded, sitting down on the bench next to her and holding out the Walkman again. "Of course."

Rayne smiled and held one earphone to her ear, pushing her finger lightly down on 'play'. After engulfing herself in the tune, she began to tap a finger on the table to the beat. "This is great!" she exclaimed, handing it back to Devin. "You should totally use it for your audition, Ariana!"

Devin grinned and mumbled, "Thanks!" Ariana smiled broadly and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and I've already got, like, half of it choreographed. It's going to be so awesome!" she gushed. Then the girl took a deep breath and added, "So what's up in your world, Rayne? Are you entering something in the winter art show?"

Rayne hesitated before shrugging. "I'm not sure," she admitted, pulling her sketchbook out and flicking through the pages. She finally paused at one of them and handed it to Ariana. "It's only a rough beginning, but if it turns out the way I want to, then I might consider entering." The picture was that of a cougar standing in a grassy field. And yet, in the distance, the rough sketch of mountains was visible, along with a clear blue sky above. "Let's just say that it reminds me of my home."

Ariana took the sketchbook carefully and gazed down at the picture. Her eyes widened and she gasped softly before glancing back up at Rayne. "It's beautiful! If you entered it, you'd totally win first place!" Ariana declared, smiling widely. Devin looked down at the drawing over Ariana's shoulder, and had much the same reaction. He smiled up at Rayne after a few moments of gazing at the picture as well, and added, "Yeah Rayne, it's really gorgeous..."

Rayne smiled before tucking the sketchbook away once again. "I'll have to think about it," she replied. "Thank you." She then turned and looked at the school. The bell would ring soon for them to head to their next classes. "What class do you guys have next?" she asked after turning back around to face them.

Ariana swallowed another bite of her sandwhich and replied cheerfully, "Ballet with Rousseau. What about you guys?" She glanced at Devin and he sighed, a glum expression on his face. "Math with Baits," he muttered, grimacing. Ariana bit her lip and gave him a sympathetic look before turning back to Rayne. "What about you, Rayne?"

Rayne glanced at Devin sympathetically before considering her scheduale. "Art with Dovan," she remembered, hooking the bag strap around her shoulder again. She tapped her fingers on the table, a bit anxious for her lesson.

Ariana smiled widely. "Great! What about you, Kunst? Aren't you in a lot of the same classes as Rayne?" she asked, glancing toward the other art student.
